WARNING: 2020 P938 SAS Kydex Holster Options.

2021.10.19 00:34 TokeusPocus WARNING: 2020 P938 SAS Kydex Holster Options.

This is a warning to everyone who may have the new version of the P938 SAS with the integrated sights.
NONE of the P938 Kydex holsters you can currently direct order online will fit the gun.
The slide of the new SAS is slightly rounded and prevents the gun from sliding into the Kydex smoothly. I only realized this after wasting $100 on different brands of Kydex and then finally calling Alien Gear. They said theirs would not work either but actually explained to me why, and the difference between the SAS and standard P938. Luckily the P938 SAS is on the Alien Gear customer request list and should come out eventually.
For now though your best bet is going to your local Kydex holster maker and having one custom made.
Hope this saves someone time and frustration.

2021.10.19 00:34 sobeonekinobe HACC in Pennsylvania

Anyone here been to HACC in Pennsylvania for RT? We will be moving from Texas and I’m wondering how their program is. The community college I went to here in TX was very good and informative but I had to stop due to health reasons. Now that we are moving, I have to find a new school to restart my program.

2021.10.19 00:34 oMustachi0 Showin' some NOLA love.

Let me start with a disclaimer that I am simply a huge NOLA fan and not a shill or in any way related to the company!
In the brief two years of my hifi adventure, NOLA Contender (version 1) was the first pair of speakers I stumbled upon that I fell in love with. I recall the first night bringing them home after hastily setting them up, listening to REM's 'Nightswimming' and getting the goosebumps with my jaw dropping. They've been in my main listening room since and regularly captivate me for hours on end (will eventually post that set-up) . Recently acquired a used pair of their entry speaker, the Boxer (version 3) , and felt that I had to share them here as I don't see NOLA speakers much on this forum. Carl Marchisotto, the speaker designer, and his wife run the small family- owned company right out of Long Island, NY ( fellow New Englander here) and are the kindest people to speak with. I love that I can reach out to them and get genuine, humble responses from very people who design/work with the speakers first-hand. Fun facts- Carl makes up to half a million dollar speakers! He was also a speaker designer for Dalquist in the 70's and 80's before starting his first speaker line ALON.
A few aspects of the Boxers (and Contenders) that I cherish-

Any other NOLA fans out there?

2021.10.19 00:34 Dragnskull I'm a building contractor, recently I was hired to create a new set for a porn production company and told I have free reign over it's design.

I was never a big fan of porn, and was concerned I wouldn't be able to create a suitable set for such productions, but the client reassured me
"If you build it, they will come."

2021.10.19 00:34 i-void-warranties Frequent rc disconnects help - Mini2

So during 3 out my last 6ish I got RC disconnected messages and the screen went gray. On the first time I drove closer and it reconnected, on the 2nd it eventually returned to home on it's own, on the 3rd I noticed that despite it seeing anything on the screen I was able to control the drone and landed safely myself.
The first 2 we're with 1.4.8, I recently upgraded to 1.4.12 (android) before the 3rd flight. 2 flights were probably <500 feet away, one was maybe 1000. I had full signal before it went dark and there were no obstructions or possible electric interference. I killed and restarted the app.
Thoughts? I was leaning towards the drone or controller, now I'm wondering if it's the cable between the controller and phone since I still had the ability to control it.
Thoughts?

2021.10.19 00:34 jerrywilliams584520 ETH mine pool is the most profitable at present

Thank you Ethereum for the first time in about six weeks to rebound to more than $3,900. An interesting phenomenon is the abnormal increase in the balance of miners. In the past 3 months, miners have added 580k USD in ETH to their current 658k holdings

2021.10.19 00:34 LagomorphJax Why don’t ID law firms stand up to insurance companies? Does any other type of client screw over their own lawyers?

From what I understand, insurance companies will arbitrarily cut their legal bills by a set percentage or simply refuse to pay for certain things, like legal research. 1) why do insurance companies feel that this is okay? Do they enter contracts with firms allowing them to do it? I can understand having auditors review bills and reducing things that seem excessive, but how can they just refuse to pay for “legal research”? 2) why do firms tolerate it? Lawyers should be able to stand up for themselves instead of rolling over every time the insurance company says so, especially when ethical obligations are involved.
I can understand why smaller ID firms might put up with it, but why do the larger firms?

2021.10.19 00:34 Timely_Okra_6074 Making bar chart more uniform

I downloaded this data set at https://www.kaggle.com/rtatman/english-word-frequency . Then I plot it on a bar chart. The bar chart's x-axis is already sorted from least frequency to most frequency. I would like to do the following:

Convert it into a graph where the y-axis is the % of total words recorded (Easy, add up all the frequencies and divide each frequency by that sum.) Input a constant. Guaranteed to be between 0 and the average % from total words. Transform it so that the lowest % should be greater than that constant and the derivative is never negative Sum of the transform should be 1
What are some possible transforms/functions that would suit this? I only took AP Statistics and am doing a personal programming project with no statistics knowledge above AP Statistics. I'm putting each word into its own flashcard and am weighting each flashcard based on the word's frequency.
