2021.11.28 14:36 mmaatt78 Suggestion on the exchange

Hi all. I’m quite a beginner on crypto. I understood that to avoid high commission is better to use the exchange. My question is: can I buy a crypto on the exchange with euro ? And can I do the opposite? It seems to me that all the option on the exchange are to switch from a crypto to another crypto, for istance ETH/BTC or CRO/BTC etc etc. And also, it seems to me that I can transfer crypto from the app to the exchange but that I cannot transfer fiat from the app to the exchange. If all the above is correct, how can I use the exchange if for example I want to buy 1 eth with fiat or I want to do the opposite? Thank you for your help!

2021.11.28 14:36 WittyisNotWitty My Best Friend Went Missing. Now I Know What Really Happened to Him.

A couple of months ago, Mick Hughes, my best friend, vanished without a trace. It was a normal day for him. He went to work, ate lunch at a small restaurant a couple blocks away, and took the bus home. Multiple people saw him entering the apartment complex in which he lived. He was seen taking the elevator, and one of his neighbors saw him entering his apartment. But he was never seen leaving that apartment. He was never seen again, actually.
The next day, he didn't show up for work. He didn't show up the day after that, either. After about a week of his absence, someone finally decided to file a missing persons report. Police searched Mick's apartment and found nothing. I was among the many search parties that combed the surrounding area for Mick. But we never found anything. Not a trace. No body, not a single hair on his head. Eventually, the news died down, moving on to other things. After that, it was only a matter of time until the police investigation ended. They said that Mick had suffered a mental breakdown, and had possibly ran off and started a new life.
But that wasn't true. I knew that Mick would never just run away. He wouldn't. Mick was always a kind, and loyal person. Everyone loved him. He had a perfect life. He would never just walk out on everyone. There had to be something else going on. I began to believe that the police must've missed something. Mick couldn't have just vanished into thin air, there had to have been some kind of clue. There always is. Even if the police were too incompetent to find it. So I decided to take matters into my own hands. I decided that I would find out what had happened to Mick myself. So I did the logical thing. I broke into Mick's apartment.
I decided to do it at night during a storm. Most people would be inside their apartments, trying to avoid the rain. That meant that very few would see me. I walked swiftly and quietly, trying to draw as little attention to myself as possible. I wore a hoodie, a mask and sunglasses, making sure that even if anyone did see me, they wouldn't be able to identify me.
When I made it to Mick's apartment, I got to work on picking the lock. It was surprisingly easy to pick, taking me less than a minute. When I was done, the door creaked open, revealing the dark apartment within. I stepped inside, slowly, making sure to lightly shut the door behind me. It was quiet in the apartment, and almost pitch black. I felt around on the wall for a light switch.
I eventually found it, flipping it on. The apartment was filled with light. I took a step back, speechless at the sight that lay before me. The place was completely destroyed. The apartment floor was covered in clutter. Shattered plates and mugs, broken glass, and overturned chairs and tables were everywhere. A bookshelf had every book thrown from it onto the floor in a large pile. The fridge was wide open, with thrown, rotten food staining the nearby walls and floor.
I was completely bewildered. What the hell had happened here? Why didn't the police mention that the apartment was completely trashed? Did the police do this themselves? My mind was racing. Everything was covered in a layer of dust and neglect. Stepping over broken glass and rotten fruit, I started to search the apartment.
I wasn't entirely sure what I was looking for, but I knew that something here must've held the answer to Mick's disappearance. I began searching and sifting through the clutter. I dug through drawers, closets, anything I could find. I even poked around in Mick's trash bins.
I don't know how long I searched for, maybe a little over an hour, but eventually I found what I was looking for in the bedroom. When I first entered his bedroom, I hardly recognized it. The mattress had been overturned, laid to rest on the wall furthest from the door. The photos that had once lined his walls lay smashed and torn to pieces. His dresser lay facing up, and one of it's drawers was removed, resting near the mattress.
I made my way through the room, carefully stepping over shattered photographs, and making sure not to trip on fallen furniture. I made my way over to his dresser, and started looking through it. It didn't take me long to find something that wasn't clothing. I had discovered a journal. It was fairly fancy, with a hard cover and nice smelling pages.
I stuffed the journal in my bag, and left the apartment. I believed that the journal might've held the answers I was looking for. At the time, I didn't know how right I was. When I left the building, it was still raining. Nobody I passed even glanced at me, and it was then when I realized I had gotten away with it.
I walked through the rain, making my way towards the bus stop that would take me home. The streets of the town seemed a little emptier than usual. I guessed that nobody wanted to drive due to the slippery roads, and nobody wanted to walk through the intense rain. I wasn't complaining though. The fewer people saw me, the better. Then I noticed something. Something that sent a chill down my spine. There was a second set of footsteps alongside my own.
I listened to the footsteps intently. They sounded like they were behind me, but how far behind me I didn't know. They're probably just walking in the same direction I was, I remember thinking. Just to be safe though, I turned a corner. After a couple seconds, I heard them turn the corner too. I walked down the block and turned again, now going in the opposite direction we were originally walking. They turned too. I felt a sinking dread in my stomach. They were following me. I took two more turns, circling the block and now back on the path towards the bus stop.
If they knew I had broken in, then why wouldn't they just call the cops? Why would they follow me and watch me from a distance? Maybe they wanted my home address so they could report me to the police. Maybe they wanted to hurt me. My heart was pounding in my chest, and it took every bit of self control I had to not break out into a sprint.
Minutes later, only a couple blocks away from the bus stop, I realized something that put my heart in my throat. The footsteps were slowly, but steadily gaining speed. They were trying to catch up to me. I did what anyone would do. I ran. I ran as fast as I could, hearing the person behind me running too. I could hear them splashing through puddles, desperate to reach me. I didn't look back. My eyes were focused on the sidewalk ahead of me.
That's when my salvation came. I nearly shouted in joy and relief when the bus drove past me, stopping at the bus stop. With an extra burst of speed, I sprinted onto the bus, quickly paying the fare and ignoring the bus drivers strange look. I had made it. I had escaped them. When the doors closed, and the bus began moving, I knew I was truly safe. I looked out the window, searching for the person who had chased me. But there was nothing there. Nobody. Only an empty street.
That night, I don't think I got much sleep. It was the following day I began reading the journal. I took it from my bag and and sat down at my desk, beginning to read it. It was so normal. Mick had used the journal to write about his day to day life. It was surreal to read it, and I felt like I was peaking into his perfect life. He never once wrote about anything going wrong for him, but I wasn't surprised by that. Nothing ever went wrong for Mick. He was always the most lucky, he was the guy who got all the girls, and he was always the guy who got the job. Reading it, I started getting upset. All the horrible things that had happened to me throughout my life started coming back to the surface. How was it all so easy for him? I didn't understand how Mick just floated through life like that.
Eventually, things changed though. Mick began writing strange things. He wrote about how he believed he was being watched. He wrote about how every night, he thinks he can hear someone walking around in his apartment. Eventually, I got to the final passage. This is what was written:
"I think somethings wrong. Every day, when I wake, things in my house are moved around. Food from my fridge is missing. Sometimes I'll find the door unlocked. But what happened yesterday has been the worst of it by far. When I was walking home, I noticed something. I tried to ignore it, to pretend everything was ok, but I couldn't help but notice that there was a second set of footsteps alongside my own."
After I read that final passage, I set the journal down on my desk and thought about what to do. I got up from my desk and lay on my bed, weighing my options. I couldn't go to the police, they'd ask too many questions, and I'd get caught. It was clear to me that Mick was being stalked by someone, but who? Then I thought back to the person that had followed me the previous night. Where they the one responsible?
I decided that I just needed to take my mind off of all this for awhile. Freaking out wasn't going to help me find Mick. It was just going to make me crazy. I lay on my bed for awhile, just trying to relax. I ended up taking a nap. I thought that maybe it would clear my mind. But it didn't. I had a horrible dream. One moment I was drifting off to sleep, the next I was showering. The hot water soothed me, and I spent what felt like an hour in the shower, relaxing, until I noticed it.
Someone else was in my bathroom. I froze the moment I realized it. I could see their shadow through the shower curtain. I wanted to move, but I couldn't. No matter how hard I tried, I couldn't bring myself to move no matter what. I knew they were going to kill me. I couldn't do anything about it, though. I couldn't even breath, but I could hear their breath. It was a horrible, raspy, pained breath.
They stepped closer to me. That's when the smell hit. They smelled like roadkill. I still couldn't move. I watched as a pale, horrible, hand wrapped around the edge of the shower curtain and slowly began to pull. I wanted to cry. I wanted to be anywhere but here. But I was trapped. I was trapped and alone. I started screaming when something sharp stabbed into my side.
The blinding pain snapped me out of my stupor, and I could move again. I swung wildly at my attacker, but I missed, and my hand slammed into the drywall. It was only then when I got a look at my attacker. It looked like a person, but I couldn't get a good look at their face. The figure was gripping a rusted hatchet. It was covered in my blood.
It ripped into my stomach with the hatchet again, and I stopped fighting back , shock taking over when I saw my own intestines fall onto my bathroom tiles. It didn't hurt anymore, and I had fallen back into the shower, taking down the curtain with me. Everything was getting dark now, and I felt myself slip out of consciousness.
I awoke, screaming and shivering, in my bed. I breathed a deep sigh of relief when I realized it had just been some kind of horrible nightmare. I guessed that my encounter after leaving Mick's apartment had affected me more than I thought. I got up and sat back at my desk, staring at the open journal. I had finished it, but I felt I was no closer to finding out what had happened to Mick. All I had learned is that someone may have been stalking him. I sighed, and flipped through the pages again.
That's when I heard a sound coming from the bathroom. The water was running. What the hell? I started walking towards the bathroom, the fear in my gut growing and spreading with every step I took. When I got to the door, I resisted the urge to run and pushed it open. The bathroom was a mess. The mirror was shattered, leaving glass shards everywhere. The floor and shower were stained with blood. The shower curtain, now stained with red, had been ripped down and lay in a pile on the floor. There was something written on the bathroom wall in a sticky, red liquid.
"Wake up." I read it aloud.
My head was spinning. What the hell was going on? Was that.. was that written in blood? Shaking, I slammed the bathroom door shut. I had to call the police. Someone had been in my house. Shivering uncontrollably, I walked to my room, where I had left my cell phone. When I got there, I picked up my phone and called the police.
It took them about ten minutes to arrive. That had to have been the longest ten minutes of my entire life. They searched my apartment, and found nothing. Absolutely nothing. WHen they were done, they began asking if I took any medication, They began asking if I had taken any substances. At first I was confused, then I realized they thought I had done that to my own bathroom. After I answered all their questions, they left, and I sat at my desk, bewildered.
Did Mick's stalker follow me home somehow? If it was that person who followed me, how could they know where I lived? Then there was the message. Wake up. Was I still dreaming? The bathroom looked like how it did in my dream. No, I couldn't be dreaming. Someone broke in.
I couldn't sleep that night. I couldn't stop thinking about what had happened that day. All the questions it brought up. After trying, and failing, to go to sleep for a couple hours, I got up and went to my kitchen to get a glass of water. I walked into my kitchen and stopped dead. The light wasn't on, but I could tell there was a body in the middle of my kitchen. It lay there, a dark stain around it. It was too dark to make anything out other then the shape.
I stepped towards the body. Was that even there? What if it was some kind of trick of the light, or maybe my mind playing tricks on me? I was very tired after all. I had to check. I had to know. Hand shaking, I flipped on the light and gasped in shock. It was Mick. I was staring at my best friend. My best friend's gutted, rotting corpse. I had to have been dreaming. This was impossible. How could he be here? I had to be dreaming. I had to be.
Then, suddenly, Mick jerked to life. I shouted in surprise and backed out of the kitchen, eyes fixed on the twitching, writhing body. Then, the corpse of what was once my friend silently stood, and then charged towards me. I turned and ran. I ran down the hall, the walking corpse at my heels, until I made it to my destroyed bathroom. I ran in slammed the door shut behind me. There was a loud bang when Mick's corpse slammed into the door. Then another. Then another. It was trying to break the door down.
"You're.. you're not real." I said at the door the corpse kept slamming into.
"This is just all nightmare. I'll wake up soon, please let me wake up soon." I said. It had to have been a nightmare. This couldn't be real. I sat down against the floor, careful to not sit on any broken glass. Then the banging stopped.
"Does it hurt?" A raspy, dead voice whispered through the door.
"Wh-What?" I asked. I didn't understand yet.
"Does it keep you up at night knowing what you've done to me?" The corpse asked.
"What I've done? I haven't done anything." I said, but then a sense of dread appeared in my stomach. But I had done something, hadn't I?
"Oh god." I said in a low voice. It was all coming back to me. That night. What I'd done.
"No, no I couldn't. I would never do anything like that. You're my- He was my friend." I said. I didn't want to accept it.
"You're lying, aren't you." Mick's corpse spoke through the door, its voice broken.
"N-no." I shakily said, my voice starting to break. I felt sick. I could barely stand.
"You killed me." The corpse's voice echoed in my mind. I could feel my reality breaking around me. Oh god, what have I done? I remembered then. I remembered everything. I had paid Mick a visit the night he went missing. I remembered picking his lock. I had done it so many times, it was almost muscle memory. I walked through his apartment. I knew that I had been there before, reading his books, and eating his food. Pretending I had his life.
But I didn't have his life. No matter how hard I tried, I just wasn't good enough. I remembered how effortless life was for him. I remember how angry I was about that. That anger had finally boiled over. I could hear him showering. I knew his routine, I knew that'd he'd be showering then. He'd be defenseless. Trapped. I walked into his bathroom. Mick didn't deserve the easy life. Mick didn't deserve a second more of it. I remember now what I've done.
In a rage, I killed Mick Hughes. I chopped him up with a hatchet. Then I destroyed his apartment. I was careful though, I made sure to wear gloves, and I cleaned every speck of blood. I took his body with me, in a trash bag. I dumped it in the woods. Nobody saw me. I got off scott free. But after I did it, after I came to my senses, I couldn't come to terms with what I did, so I locked it away in my mind, repressing that night.
"Oh god, Mick, I'm so sorry, I'm so, so sorry." I said, tears streaking down my face. He was my friend. He was my friend and I killed him in a jealous rage. How could I do that? What kind of monster was I?
"We both know it's too late for that." The corpse rasped, then he started hitting the door again.
It only took a couple hits for Mick to break down the door. He had hit the door so hard his face had been smashed. His nose was broken and bloody. He had two black, swollen eyes. He began staggering towards me, one hand holding what was left of his guts in. The smell was indescribable.
"You're not real, You're dead. I killed you." I stammered, backing away from the walking corpse.
"This is a dream." I said, trying to sound more confident then I was. Mick's broken face twisted into a grin, full of chipped and missing teeth.
"A nightmare, like before." I cried. Mick let out what passed as a laugh for the dead.
"I'm real. I'm as real as you are." Mick rasped, lunging at me. I yelped and kicked him back. He fell to the ground hard, leaving a brown, sickly stain on my bathroom tiles.
"I remember when I woke up in that bag you left me in. I had been given a second chance, in exchange for my own soul, I get to bring you down with me." Mick said, gurgling blood while he staggered to his feet. He lurched towards me again, and he tackled me to the floor, his hands wrapping around my throat. They were cold. Ice cold.
For a moment, I almost wanted him to kill me. I knew I deserved it. I was a murderer. A worse monster then the one on top of me. But then my survival instincts kicked in. I desperately clawed at him, finally throwing him off of me. I crawled away, coughing profusely and holding my neck. I got up and ran again, trying to make it to my front door. I could hear the pounding footsteps of vengeance behind me. I made it to my door, and managed to get it open before Mick could get to me.
I tried to slam the door in his face, but he was too fast. He got his decayed arm through the door, and tried to grab at me. Then he got his head through the door.
"You can't escape me." Mick cried, clawing at me like a wild animal. It was then when I snapped. I opened the door, and slammed it on his head. Then I did it again, and again, and again. I kept slamming it until his head was no more. He had finally stopped moving. I had done it. I had stopped him.
It's been a couple hours since then, and I've decided to post this to tell the world what I've done. I want to tell the world what really happened to Mick Hughes. I just noticed that he's starting to twitch. Something tells me that he's going to get up soon. I don't think he can die, at least not until he's taken his revenge on me. When he gets up, I think I'm going to let him kill me. I need to atone for what I've done to him. For what I've taken from Mick's family and friends.
God, I'm so, so sorry Mick. Goodbye.

2021.11.28 14:36 Jennytaylia111 Can anyone loan money until my Boyscouts of America Lawsuits Settlement comes

Im in a really tight spot right now and I need to find a place to rent. I draw disability but it's barely enough to get by much less afford a deposit on a place. I have a lawsuit against the Boyscouts of America and am expecting a pretty large amount so I can pay back whatever is loaned. Any help would be appreciated
