Do ant larvae really poop only once before becoming adults?

The larvae enter the human nasopharyngial passage and cause pain and itching in the ears, throat, head, vomitting etc. Once in the human host, the worm attaches to the intestinal wall, siphoning nutrients and self-fertilizing to make May 12, 2015 · Pyrantel Pamoate for Parasites in Humans. I also have bokashi bins where some of my scraps and my little dogs poop goes. Once fermented (about 2+ weeks) I feed that to my worms too. The bokashi includes occasional cooked meat and ground fish and chicken bones too. I do add worm pellets, lime etc every now and then to keep the acidity levels at bay and my worms thrive. Bed bug larvae look like little worms, while carpet beetle larvae look like fuzzy bugs with little spines all over them. The beetle has a humpbacked body that is in the shape of a tear. Baby bed bugs can reach adulthood in about 21 days if temperatures are between 70-80ºF (21-27ºC), but the average time is usually about five weeks. According to this article, they favor the all-star list of crop pest which includes the larvae of imported cabbage worms and gypsy moths, the larvae, pupae and eggs of root maggots, as well as the Colorado potato beetle, diamondback moths, cutworms, cabbage loopers, aphids, asparagus beetles, slugs and flea beetles. Some species even eat snails. A 5-gallon filtered tank will only need 1-2 water cycles per week at around 25% of total volume and a 100% water change once per month depending on water quality. Keep a pH kit in your supplies to test your tank’s water. Since quail, and chickens, do not have teeth, the crushed stones act as teeth in the birds’ crops. Most quail have crops, but not all do, to break down large grains, seeds, and other matter that needs more processing. There is a misconception that grit and oyster shells are the same things. However, they quite different. Once the larvae are injected by an infected bug, they grow into adult worms and reproduce, creating microfilariae. If you send bugs to be identified, place them in a vial of any type of alcohol. They should be white, legless, hairless, insects that look like small worms with soft bodies. you can kill the bug with mineral oil. Adults live only a week if they have no access to blood, 100 days if they do. Eggs hatch from 2-14 days, Larve live on crumbs and kibble plus blood for 4-18 days. The pupae however is virtually indestructible, they take 10-14 days to hatch into adults and start the process again. Hello! 2021.11.28 14:22 LojoLoco7 5’8, 19 year old male (close to 130 pounds) body recomp or lean bulk?

Hello, everyone, I am relatively new to a structured training schedule, but I was wondering as a new lifter, should I body recomp or lean bulk? My goal is to be more shredded in the long run, as I only have slightly visible abs, but I don’t want to lose any body weight, just body fat and gain some lean mass to stay around the same weight. I’m not super muscular, which made me question if I should lean bulk and eat in a slight surplus to gain some weight and muscle first then cut the excess fat gained, or If I should eat in a small deficit to lose fat and gain muscle at the same time Sorry if any of this sounds off; I’m trying to get an understanding of how all of these structures work. Thank you

Every set piece we have against us looks like an easy scoring opportunity for the opponent. The worst I have seen ever from a Utd team. Cannot even clear the fucking ball. And from an attacking set piece, God knowa when we scored last from a corner or a free kick.
While we are at it, stop playing from the back. The defense has no confidence what so ever to build an attack from the back. Seriously so frustrating.

2021.11.28 14:22 nowuknoimpaperthin What is web3?

What is Web3? Ethereum The Web3 is currently loosely defined. The top search result for any given search engine is usually Ethereum's Web2 vs Web3 which comes from the the dev docs. The article clearly defines Web3 as

"Web3, in the context of Ethereum, refers to decentralized apps that run on the blockchain. These are apps that allow anyone to participate without monetising their personal data."
They clearly state that this definition is within the context of Ethereum. We have a definition and that definition is exclusive to Ethereum. We still don't know what Web3 is even if we read the Ethereum Developer Documentation.
Wikipedia Wikipedia also follows the same definition.
"Web3, also known as Web 3.0,[1] is an idea for a version of the Internet that is decentralized and based on public blockchains.[2] The concept gained popularity in 2020 and 2021 with interest from cryptocurrency enthusiasts and investments from high-profile technologists and companies."
The cited sources are from articles that most likely derived the definition from our initial search result on the Ethereum website. One is from Tech Crunch and the other is from Slate.
If we read up on search results, we'll notice something at the end of the Background section.
"Web3 is distinguished from a concept for a semantic web created in 1999 by Tim Berners-Lee, which has sometimes also been called "Web 3.0".[6] Some writers referring to the decentralized concept usually known as "Web3" have used the terminology "Web 3.0", leading to some confusion between the two concepts;[1][7] furthermore, some visions of Web3 also incorporate ideas relating to the semantic web.[8][9]"
Now I can see that Web3 has had previous meaning as well. Now I have questions like, "What is a semantic web?", "What were the other previous definitions of Web3?", and "Is Web3 solely refering to blockchain technology and if so what is blockchain technology exactly?".
Down the rabbit hole If we actually read the Wikipedia article for the Web3 definition, we should have noticed the Concept section.
"Web3 revolves around the idea of a decentralized Internet. Proponents often contrast this to Web 2.0, where large amounts of the web's data and content are centralized in a fairly small group of companies (often referred to as Big Tech).[2] Specific visions for Web3 differ, but all are heavily based in blockchain technologies, such as various cryptocurrencies and non-fungible tokens (NFTs).[2] Some visions are based around the concepts of decentralized autonomous organizations (DAOs), which seek to enable many people to have equal ownership and governance in an organization.[14] Decentralized finance (DeFi) is another key concept, in which users exchange currency without bank or government involvement.[2] Self-sovereign identity allows users to identify themselves without relying on a centralized authentication system like OAuth.[15]"
Let's focus in on the introductory sentence.
Web3 revolves around the idea of a decentralized Internet.
Does a dencetralized internet have to solely rely on blockchain technology? According to how it's defined in the next sentence, then the answer is yes.
Specific visions for Web3 differ, but all are heavily based in blockchain technologies, such as various cryptocurrencies and non-fungible tokens (NFTs).[2]
Meriam Webster Dictionary has defined a blockchain as
a digital database containing information (such as records of financial transactions) that can be simultaneously used and shared within a large decentralized, publicly accessible network
This is a fairly accurate description of what a blockchain is. A Web App is more than its parts and is more than the total sum of its parts. The database has influence over large aspects of data storage when I build an app and that's usually it.
So now I've just spent a considerable amount of time learning about Distributed P2P Digital Databases that are mostly focused on financial records and transactions.
Don't get be wrong. This is amazing technology and is comparable to the Gutenberg Press. What the Gutenberg Press did for the written word is what blockchain technology is doing for the modern monetary system and much more. It's essentially creating, and allowing, digital property rights. I don't see how this isn't amazing at all.
There's just one problem. I still have no idea what Web3 is and if I think I do know what Web3 is, then now what I believe it to be is just a over glorified linked list of SHA256 hash sums that record financial transactions.
I haven't made any progress at all.
Leaving the Crypto Sphere Is Crypto the same as Crypto Currency or is Crypto Currency a biproduct of Crypto? This is not the same as asking did the Chicken come before the Egg or did the Egg come before the Chicken? Obviously the Egg came first. Regarless, Crypto came first. Crypto Currency is the result of persistent dedication to figuring out a bunch of different problems with a creative set of solutions. What's more important is the resulting technology; The Blockchain.
If we read the Slate article, we would have noticed something interesting if we were paying attention.
Web3 does not require “permission,” meaning that central authorities don’t dictate who uses what services, nor is there a need for “trust,” referring to the idea that an intermediary does not need to facilitate virtual transactions between two or more parties. Web3 theoretically protects user privacy better as well, because it’s these authorities and intermediaries that are doing most of the data collection.
We currently do not host Web Apps on Databases as far as I know. We do store Data on Databases, but not Apps. So how do I run a truly Distributed P2P Web Application? If I can create a truly Distributed P2P Web App, then where do I store it and how do I launch it?
Enter IPFS So "What is IPFS?" and "Why do I believe the Web3 definition is exclusive?". We first have to ask, "What is IPFS?".
The InterPlanetary File System (IPFS) is a protocol and peer-to-peer network for storing and sharing data in a distributed file system. IPFS uses content-addressing to uniquely identify each file in a global namespace connecting all computing devices.[4]
This actually sounds very different to what Blockchain Technology is and finally answers my burning question. Where and How do I store my App in a Distributed fashion? IPFS is how.
The Blockchain is a Distrubited P2P Database and IPFS is a Distributed P2P Filesystem. This means that they're useful tools in a particular context which is a Distributed System. Blockchain and IPFS are components of that Distributed System. The components are working examples of what Web3 actually is and will be.
Ethereum is a working example of a Distributed P2P Database and IPFS is a working example of a Distributed P2P Filesystem.
It's not just about cryptocurrency or blockchain tech. Thats just a smaller part of the bigger picture at hand and it's reductive at best. I love Crypto Currency and what it's doing. I want to be a part of it as well. However, it's important to stay sharp from time to time and try to see what the problems, and solutions to those problems, are. Sometimes the best way to do that is take a few steps back and try to see what the bigger picture is.
From an ideological point of view, Web3 is mostly about Accessibility and Availability at a level playing field. Web3 is an ideology of moving from Centralization to Decentralization through the process of Distributed Components. There are crypto projects like lbry / odyssey that showcase what's possible with a Distributed Web. Filecoin is a Crypto Currency project that aims at the storage issue with a Distributed P2P Web.
What's interesting about Odysee isn't the fact that it's another platform with another crypto currency. I could care less about that. What I care about is how Odysee runs under the hood. I'm here to tell you that Odysee is extremely interesting under the hood. Why? Because it runs on IPFS.
I've looked into the IPFS Developer Documentation and it supports mostly the Shell, Go, and Javascript for now (personally, I'm a python programmer, but I can work with JS). I use a self hosted IPFS node through a browser plugin (it comes with brave by default) and a surprising amount of the web just suddenly opens up.
So far, it's still early stages, and I can't wait to see what comes out of it; the good, the bad, and the ugly. Otherwise, it wouldn't be so interesting.
You can already build your own Distributed Web App and there aren't a lot of resources on it available just yet, but there are plenty of existing projects that showcase what is possible with it. I'd say the biggest issue it has right now is speed and I suspect that it would improve with scale; though I'm no expert on Distributed Systems.
I'm just a Web App Geek and this was my 2 cents.

2021.11.28 14:22 onyx0117 Question on a (universal) drawback

So long things short, I discovered the UDS had an update 1.7 while I was still using 1.1, and stumbled on this one drawback :

Shut Up Jumper! [+200 if Single Jump or +100 if Chain]:
You cannot speak. You must find another way to communicate. If you gain telepathy, you cannot use it to mindspeak. You must use some other methods of communication, be that written word, sign language, charades, mind pictures, drawings, empathic signals, etc. You can only take the Single Jump version of this 5 times and cannot take it in two consecutive jumps. If this is a Chain Drawback, it is worth +200 for the first two jumps, then falls to +100 after that. Yes, even if you’re already mute.
So written word is okay, that much is clear, and so we can assume typing is. Let's be crazy and even allow a text-to-speech program (or an AI doing that for you)
Now enter the Versaphone Supplement 1.1 :
Mental Command – 200 CP
Are you in some sort of self-imposed situation that has led to a lack of opposable thumbs? Well, never need for thumbs again! Now your versaphones can be completely mentally controlled! By scanning your psychic waves, the versaphone can be commanded to utilize any of its installed features.
So combine the two, and we have mental-commanded text-to speech (or even just mental text)... which is awfully close to the forbidden "mindspeech".

While yes I am the only judge on my jumper, I'd like a second opinion on this one : would you allow it or not, and why if you have a particular reason in mind ?

2021.11.28 14:22 MacintoshHD I need some input on my winter coat

So I've been Vegan for about 2.5 years, and about 4 years ago I got a coat off of ebay. It said it's a shearling coat. It seems like it is pretty old/well worn (what looks like sun bleaching, creasing, etc). I think the outer material is probably real leather, but I don't know if the lining is actual fur or not. After becoming vegan I didn't wear the coat during winter. I have a corduroy jacket with sherpa on the inside that I got from target and that's what I've been using during the winter, but I live in Iowa and it gets pretty cold here. Especially now that I have a dog and I have to take her on walks/trips to the dog park, it's honestly really rough with just the jacket. I CAN deal with it on most days, but it's definitely uncomfortable. I'm a working college student and I don't exactly have the income to buy a "nice" winter coat. I'm basically wrestling with the ethics of wearing the shearling(?) coat and could use some input. The coat is second-hand so it's not adding to the demand for animal products, but I just can't decide how I feel about wearing it. The coat is really warm so I'm leaning towards just wearing it, but it still feels kinda bad. I know there's not any objective answer to whether it's ethical to wear the coat or not, but I can't figure out where I stand and I would really appreciate some input on this.

2021.11.28 14:22 jenkardood System stays on, but loses connection to server

Hi everyone, first time poster, didn't see any specific guidelines about what is needed to post.

I installed TrueNAS on a spare PC I have, and it seems to run great, but every so often everything seems to crash, and I can't connect to it, via web, SSH, or ping. I have reseated the ethernet, in case it was just a bad wire, no dice. I have to do a hard reboot to fix the issue. Not really sure what could be going on, and not very sure how to research the problem.
When it comes back online, I don't see any indicators of something failing, except it saying that it was turned off unexpectedly.
I'll take any help I can get at this point, since it has been happening since I installed. I even reinstalled once to see if it would fix the issue. It did not. Also previously I had Open Media Vault 5 on this server, and it was happening on that is well, so that leads me to believe some of my hardware is failing.

Version: TrueNAS-12.0-U6 (I know there are updates, but I want to get this figured out before I update)

2021.11.28 14:22 oceanmachine420 [In Depth PD] Troy Terry

What’s up guys, I’ve got a couple more deep-dives coming at you this week for you to either enjoy, or vehemently disagree with.
So everybody’s been talking about Troy Terry, the guy who recently had a 16-game point streak out of nowhere. On the outside, it looks likely that his numbers are unsustainably high, and I think most people see that. But then I looked deeper, and I found that his numbers are actually insanely obviously unsustainably high. So how crazy is his performance so far this season, and what can you expect rest-of-season?
Terry became a staple of the Ducks’ lineup in the latter half of the 18-19 season, playing 32 games, and garnering 4G 9A and 13pts (33pt pace over 82 games), 6 of which were on the PP. He followed that up in 19-20 with 4G 11A and 15pts in 47GP, amounting to a 26pt pace, with only 2PPP. In 20-21, he didn’t manage to find any powerplay points, but did get back to a 34pt pace with 7G 13A and 20pts in 48GP.
Right now, Troy Terry is sitting at a whopping 94pt pace with 13G 10A and 23pts in 20GP. Those are Brayden Point in his 18-19 breakout season, skating with Stamkos and Kucherov sort of numbers. His deployment is slightly better, as he’s on the first line and getting roughly 2-3 more mins of TOI/GP than he did in his last few seasons. He’s also being given about 10 more seconds of TOI/GP on the powerplay, but he went from PP1 to PP2 and is probably staying there.
The two biggest factors in his crazy play right now seem to be his individual S%, and his insane performance on the man-advantage. He’s currently shooting at 21.95% at even strength, and a totally fucking bananas 57.14% on the PP. At all strengths, his S% is 27.08%, up from a career average of 10.54%. Granted, his shots/60 rate has increased each year, which is a great sign of improvement, but couldn’t possibly account for this type of wizardry. I’d be more comfortable with a S% of around 16-18% if he’s really stepping up, and not just getting lucky.
Terry’s IPP (82%) and oiSH% (13.33%) are definitely inflated at all strengths from his average over the last couple of seasons (63.5% and 7.54% respectively), but again, where it really sticks out is on the powerplay. His PP IPP is 100%, and PP oiSH% is 23.33%. Basically, everything is going in the net when his unit is on the ice, and he is involved in literally every single point. His PPP/60 rate is at 10.22. To use Brayden Point’s 18-19 season as a comparison again, he was getting points on the powerplay at a sky-high rate of 7.92 on a stacked Tampa Bay Lightning PP1 with guys like Stamkos, Kucherov and Hedman. Right now, Troy Terry is somehow doing better than that on a unit with (currently) names like Shattenkirk, Fowler, Silfverberg, and… some other dude. Of course, he’s spent some time with other players, but are they really worth mentioning?
The unsustainable cherry on top of this crazy cupcake is that Troy Terry has been getting started more in the defensive zone (35%) than the offensive zone (29%), which is a drastic flip from his median 17% d-zone and 45% o-zone start rates.
So, do I think Troy Terry is a great player? Yes. Do I think he has genuinely improved this year? Yes. Do I think he’s a 94pt player? Absolutely not. Honestly, I think if his numbers were more in-line with normal, sustainable figures, he’s probably more of a 55-65pt guy, which would still be a huge improvement on his past seasons. But hey, some players are magicians. Sell high or ride the wave of crazy until the points dry up, either way, this guy has been a lot of fun this season.
TL;DR: Buddy is scoring way too many goals and generating way too much on the PP. Expect his production to heavily regress.
